On behalf of the Board of Trustees, I welcome you to CADAHA’s website. Thanks for dropping by. We appreciate your visit.
For over two decades, I have been worried about the triple debilitating problems of alcohol, drugs and HIV in our local communities. As I move around our local communities, I am always confronted by the problems–seeing families and lives ruined by alcohol and drugs. With the emergence of HIV in the 1980s, the entire situation became worse.
I told myself that we have to do something about this. Something must change.
So, I started talking to friends. When I muted the idea of creating an organization to address these problems to a number of friends and colleagues locally and internationally, I was pleasantly surprised by the sheer number of those who were also worried about the situation. With the level of goodwill and support, I moved into action. That was the birth of CADAHA. The rest, as they say, is story. CADAHA is not only an organization; it is a movement and epicentre of what we can do to transform lives and invest in people. I hope you will join us.
As you look around our website, please feel free to drop me a note. Believe me, I read each of your notes and I take them into consideration as we move forward to change our local communities and the world. This is possible and yes, we can.
With all my best wishes, I thank you again for stopping by.
